Hello everyone!

We're three third-year PhD students and one economist, looking for somone to take over this amazing house and flatmates as the end of our studies is approachinng :)

About us: We are easygoing, laid-back, nice people wanting a peaceful and friendy environment :) We like sharing our time together at dinner and chatting after a long working day, but we are also respectful of each other space and privacy. We would like to have with us a person sharing our vibe. We are going to move in mid-August from our current house, but the house is already available if you wish to move in before then.

We are looking for:
1 Flatmate from December on (two-environments room, 700 £)
1 Flatmate from January on (680 £)
1 Flatmate from March on (715 £)

Rooms: Two rooms with single beds, though taking over a double bed from previous tenant could be negotiated.

Rent: Bills approx 100£/month. Council tax band C (if you're a professional).

Location: A superb Victorian terrace over two floors on a quiet street (Romsey Terrace), just off the ever-popular Mill Road. Walking distance to the city centre (10 minutes) and the train station (5 minutes), with all the shops just round the corner (Coop, pharmacy, bike shop/fix, hairdresser). On-street parking (no permit required) and secure bike storage via side access to the rear garden.

The house: Completely renovated in late 2017 (carpets, walls, appliances and garden), with a new wifi-controlled remote boiler (2021) and a new fridge and washing machine (2022). Modern kitchen with the oven, plus a medium-sized garden.

Safety: Fully compliant with fire and safety regulations — interlinked mains-connected fire and smoke alarms, fire doors, and a fire blanket. Appliances and heating are covered by British Gas home insurance, included in the rent. Inspected and approved by Cambridge City Council.

Who it suits: Ideal for young professionals, PhDs, post-docs and visiting academics, but we welcome everyone. Please note each room is for one person only, so couples would need to rent two rooms.
