The market town of Ulverston is beautiful to visit and only a 15 minute drive from the house. You can also find the famous Laurel and Hardy museum. There is also a regular train service to many locations including Ulverston.

South Walney Nature Reserve is also a nearby tourist attraction, which is very popular with nature enthusiasts and is a birdwatcher's paradise. There are also stunning views across Morecambe Bay from the nearby coastal road which also hosts Conishead Priory a historic site set on 70 acres of stunning grounds and cafes with walks leading directly to the beach. This hosts an amazing Buddist temple and meditation centre which is wonderful to visit.

The Lake District is only a 30 minute drive so whether you are visiting for leisure or in Barrow working, you can take advantage of being close to part of the most beautiful countryside in the UK.
