If you’re a professional in your 20s, looking for a spacious room in a calm, friendly neighbourhood, this might be the perfect fit for you.
I have a double, en-suite room available in a 2-bedroom apartment, from 1st March 2026 (move-in date is flexible). My current flatmate will be vacating at the end of this month, and I’m hoping to find a new housemate before then.
Why this property?
Starting with the rent, the room is very reasonably priced for the value. It’s the master bedroom, with an attached bathroom and a balcony, plus spacious wardrobes.
The apartment itself is beautiful and modern, with all the amenities you’d expect. It’s thoughtfully designed for two people, and the landlady is extremely kind and supportive.
I absolutely love the neighbourhood. The building offers a free residents’ gym, 24×7 concierge service, a theatre room, and multiple workspaces that can be booked for free. The neighbours are friendly, and there’s a genuine sense of community!
One of the highlights is the local café, Almari, which (in my opinion) is one of the best cafés in London and is just 200 metres from the apartment. The local GP is right next door, which is incredibly convenient. There’s also a Co-op, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Nisa, all within a 5-minute walk.
Transport links are excellent:
East India DLR – 5–8 minutes walk
Canning Town – 10–12 minutes walk
All Saints DLR – 15 minutes walk
3–4 bus stops within a 5–10 minute walk
The property falls under Council Tax Band D, and total bills come to approximately £150 per person per month.
About me:
A quick introduction — I graduated from LSE in December 2024 and have been living in this apartment since then. I’m 23 years old and currently working as a Senior Strategy Manager at a start-up in Hackney.
I’m easy-going and friendly, and I place a lot of importance on respect for personal space, comfort, and camaraderie. I like keeping the place neat and tidy and am quite organised, especially when it comes to managing finances.
The ideal scenario:
Living in London as a young professional can be challenging at times, especially if you’ve moved here for work or studies, and your living situation makes a huge difference. Having lived here for over two years, I truly value creating a safe, comfortable space that feels like home.
Ideally, I’d love to buddy up with someone who shares the same idea of 'home' and is willing to create a meaningful co-living space. I’m flexible with my criteria, but I’d prefer someone in a similar phase of life and someone I genuinely get along with.
If this resonates with you and you’re also open to building a friendship alongside a great living arrangement, I’d love to hear from you :)
