Hello, my name is Douglas, and I’m a senior media engineer working as a contractor in London. I’m offering a large, bright, and airy double room in a newly built, fully redecorated apartment on a quiet residential street in Bow, in the heart of East London.

The room is spacious and filled with natural light, with separate cupboard storage and a large double wardrobe. It also features a brand-new bed and mattress, so everything is in excellent condition and ready to move straight into.

The apartment is located in a peaceful and friendly neighbourhood with a fantastic sense of community. Just a five-minute walk away, you’ll find supermarkets, a post office, a local street market, cafés, and a variety of takeaways. The London canal network, Victoria Park, and Hackney Wick are also nearby—perfect for walking, cycling, or simply enjoying East London.

I currently operate an Airbnb in the apartment, which takes up a lot of my time and requires me to be constantly available. The reason I’m looking for a new flatmate is that I plan to travel, and I’m hoping to find someone responsible, trustworthy, and able to look after the property while I’m away—whether that’s for a week or a couple of weeks, as I explore Europe.

I’m very down-to-earth and relaxed. I love enjoying London, and I’m looking for someone who’s hardworking, clean, and tidy—who enjoys their own space but also appreciates a chat, a coffee, or maybe a walk together in nice weather.
