This room is a modern en-suite with a 3/4 size double bed, wide desk and a sizeable cupboard, with further storage space underneath the bed if needed. It is very easy to keep clean and tidy, and it is very warm and quiet too. It also includes blackout curtains.

Darley Bank is private student accommodation owned by Fresh Student Living, and my time here so far has been very nice, with the staff being very friendly and helpful whenever needed. The whole complex is very secure, and there is a vending machine with essentials available 24/7, as well as a secure and spacious bike shed that is available to any of the students for free; this has been super helpful for me in my short time here! There is a dedicate laundry room, and a shared social space with a TV and pool/table tennis which is nice too.

(The £100 booking fee/deposit is organised through and paid to Fresh Student Living once agreed)

My room/flat is located on the 1st floor, and the flat isn't far from the main stairwell/elevator for the block it resides in. As it is a shared flat, it of course means a shared kitchen, but the kitchen is actually surprisingly big and there has definitely been enough space for all 5 of us. There is a single shared Fridge/Freezer which is full sized, and there's further space for pots/pans/dry foods etc. in the empty cupboards/drawers I will be leaving behind.

My flatmates here have all been lovely, however due to our heavy workloads we haven't always managed to spend much time together! 3 of the flatmates are in 2nd year, and the 4th is studying a PHD & Masters. They have been very friendly in my time there, but we have often been happy to keep to ourselves to focus on our work too which has been very beneficial to us.

Overall, this has been a very great place for me to live so far whilst studying at Derby Uni, and its location has been super handy too. There is a Sainsbury's local and a Co-op within a relatively short 5 or 10 minute walk (respectively), and it is a 15 minute walk to town as well!
