Bright double room in Dalry Colonies, 1 min from Haymarket – £775 pcm
Available from 20 November (some flexibility with an earlier move-in date may be possible).
I'm looking for a new flatmate to take over the second bedroom in this lovely two-bedroom flat in the Dalry Colonies, just one minute's walk from Haymarket Station.
The flat is in a fantastic location for getting around Edinburgh, while the Colonies themselves are a lovely, quiet little pocket tucked away from the main roads. You get the convenience of being right next to Haymarket, with cafés, shops, restaurants, pubs and much more within easy walking distance.
The room
The room is a good-sized double bedroom facing onto the private garden at the back of the flat, so it's lovely and quiet.
It comes furnished with:
- Double bed
- Bedside tables
- Wardrobe
The flat
The flat is a spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom home with:
2 double bedrooms
2 bathrooms
Large kitchen
Comfortable lounge
Small study/work space
Hallway with plenty of space
Private garden
Having two bathrooms is particularly handy when sharing!
Rent & bills
Rent: £775 per month
Bills: approximately £80 per person per month (gas/electricity + WiFi).
The flat's council tax: £162. As I'm a full-time student, I'm exempt from council tax, but I'm happy to discuss how we'd handle the council tax arrangement between us depending on your circumstances.
A little about me
I'm a 32-year-old woman from Finland, and I've just started my PhD at the University of Edinburgh. I've lived in Edinburgh for the past three years and absolutely love the city.
Outside work and studies, I'm usually listening to an audiobook, watching Bake Off, drinking far too much tea, going for walks, finding good bakeries, doing Crossfit, attempting various little craft projects, and spending time with friends.
I'm sociable and enjoy having a chat or occasionally doing something together, but I'm also very happy to have my own space and decompress quietly after a long day.
Who I'm looking for
I'd love to find a kind, friendly, respectful, and tidy flatmate who communicates well about shared living arrangements and is considerate that we're sharing a home.
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, please get in touch and tell me a little bit about yourself, what you're looking for in a flatshare, and when you'd be looking to move in. I'm happy to arrange a viewing and have a chat!
