We have a double room (for single occupancy) on the first floor in our friendly, well looked after house in Stoke Hill, which is very convenient for the University. The room has a lovely view over the surrounding countryside.
The room has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, lamp and bedside cabinet. It is available on 15 May 2020 and the rent is £425 per month including bills.
The area is very quiet and friendly.
The house has a spacious open-plan sitting room and kitchen area, complete with a TV with Virgin channels, washer/drier, fridge/freezer, and microwave.
Government restrictions for moving home have now been fully lifted. We remain in close communication with all the housemates during this Covid-19 pandemic, who are are all following social distancing guidance as required to ensure the well-being of the household. The present tenants are all easy-going professionals and postgraduate students who keep the place very clean and tidy.
There is a family bathroom with shower, bath and toilet as well as the cloakroom with basin and toilet on the ground floor immediately next to the room available. In addition, the room on the 2nd floor has an ensuite so there are plenty of washing facilities.
There is free on street parking and a nice garden with sitting area, washing line and barbecue for al fresco dining. Stoke Hill is a quiet residential area, just 20 mins walk to the University (Streatham campus) and the city centre. A big Morrisons is only 5 minutes' walk away. A gardener maintains the garden.
The rent includes Council Tax, water, gas, electricity, wireless broadband (Virgin Media cable), TV licence.
The room is suitable for professionals or mature students. You must be tidy and non-smoking. A deposit of one month's rent and previous rental and employment references are required. The deposit will be placed in the Deposit Protection Service - one of the government approved schemes.
We (the landlords) now have accreditation by the National Landlords Association, so you can be sure that we will act in a professional and responsive manner.
