Hi, I’m Alfie. My current housemate is moving away for work, so I’m looking for someone to take his room from 1 September.

I’m 31, work from home as a professional writer and am an ultramarathon runner. I’m sociable but prefer a quiet, uncomplicated life at home. My girlfriend stays over once or twice a week.

The advertised room is the empty ground-floor double shown in the pictures. However, I would also be willing to rent out the spare room on the first floor instead. That room is slightly smaller but has direct access to the shared bathroom.

I’m looking for someone clean, tidy and considerate, ideally a professional. I prefer a fairly quiet home, although I’m not particularly fastidious and would much rather live somewhere relaxed than regimented.

The house is a spacious terrace in Leckhampton, around five minutes’ walk from the shops, cafés and pubs on Bath Road and 15–20 minutes’ walk from Cheltenham town centre. There is unreserved on-street parking on the surrounding roads.

The house has a bathroom, a second toilet, a living and dining area, a kitchen, two main bedrooms, a spare bedroom, a small garden and a converted loft, which I currently use as my office. It comfortably accommodates two people, and there is plenty of storage space both inside the house and out the back.

Rent is £750 per month, including bills and 500Mbps internet. The kitchen has a washing machine and tumble dryer, along with other useful appliances such as an air fryer and coffee machine.
