I am a visiting scholar to Northumbria University, but i will be leaving Newcastle mid-July. My tenancy extends until the 31st of August, so if anyone is interested in taking my room for those 6 weeks, don't hesitate to reach out. A full tenancy takeover isn't necessary to spare the costs and the tedious process of bureaucracy.

Move-in / Move-out date are somewhat flexible.

The costs are £327 rent + £106 bills. Preferred is if you pay up front for the entire duration, since the contract will still be in my name. That amounts to £650 for 6 weeks.

The room is very spacious, with a double bed, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. It's on the first floor. The bathroom is on the same floor and is shared with two other people, who are almost never at home.
