The refurbished double bedroom is very bright and features a large, new, south facing double window overlooking a beautiful garden. It features: a new carpet, new radiator, new wardrobe, new bedside drawers, an optional desk, new bed frame for a king size bed, and a refurbished built-in wardrobe. The room is customisable. Bills are included including super fast broadband. Parking is available and there is a sunny garden in the back.
About the furnished Single Bedroom (350 GBP PCM)
The single bedroom is renovated and features a new double window overlooking the front of the house. It contains: a brand new radiator, a 3-door wardrobe, brand new set drawers, and a loft bed frame. A desk is provided for any tenant that prefers one to support work from home. Also the room is customisable. Bills are included. Parking is available and there is a sunny garden in the back.
About the Neighborhood:
The house is very conveniently located just north of the city center and NTU. Many local shops, restaurants, and other services are located all within walking distance, e. g. Sainsbury’s, Lidl, Tescos, Co-op, local cafes, and many other independent small shops in Sherwood center. Nottingham City Hospital is also within walking distance. Public transport to the city center and NTU is just a 5 minute walk away and only takes 10 minutes (or less) by bus (buses 15, 16, and 17) to get there. Teesdale Road has its own bus stop. The distance to the city center is about 1.6 miles. There is a free bus called the Medilink to the University of Nottingham. The house features a south facing garden and receives a lot of natural light, a modern shared kitchen, washer+dryer and other appliances, shared bathrooms, shared living room, and a shared south facing garden with terrace.
About the Tenants:
The live-in landlord is a (male) Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Nottingham. The property is currently occupied by him and 2 (female) professionals. One of the previous lodgers is moved back to their home country and another moves out in March. The ideal lodger is tidy, social and prefers the shared spaces to be very clean. Also, the lodger screening process will factor in the high standard of cleanliness in the shared spaces, especially the kitchen and the bathroom. Everyone is expected to contribute to the house chores, e. g., cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and not leaving dirty dishes etc.
Enjoy a peaceful garden for BBQs, a south-facing terrace for sitting in the sun, cycling outings, with easy bus access to Nottingham's buzz. Participation in social activities such as pot luck dinners, dancing, CV reviews, movie nights etc is optional. Current residents are vegan and are looking for other vegans or vegetarians. The rent increases for meat eaters.
No dogs allowed, however, other small pets will be considered. There is currently a social cat, King Kenny, dominating the house. The landlord has a youtube channel with a walkthrough video of the property. Just search for 61 Teesdale Road on YT.
