Hello!
My lovely flatmate is moving in with his girlfriend, so I am looking for someone new to move in (sad but also exciting). My name is Ellen (she/her), I am 30 years old, and I'm going into my final year of a doctorate in psychology. I'm Finnish/Danish and I've lived in the UK for the last 7 years. As you can see under my interests, I like to hang out and cook and eat and talk and watch movies and read books and go outside, etc.
The flat is quite spacious. It comes with two bedrooms, a big kitchen and big living room, and an extra room that we have so far used as a study/dining room. The flat came unfurnished when we moved in so all of the stuff is ours - my flatmate will be taking some of his things when he goes but he is happy to discuss leaving furniture that the next tenant might need (e. g. bed). I'd be open to repurposing the extra room to suit preferences and to generally replace or move furniture around to make it feel like your home too.
The available bedroom has a big window, a built-in wardrobe and an en-suite (sink and shower, no toilet). Bills are not included unfortunately, and because I am a student I am exempt from council tax.
I would love to live with someone really nice! I'm very happy to live quite communally (e. g. cook together sometimes, share coffee beans, hang out), but I am also quite busy and won't be around all the time.
If you're interested, it would be good to meet or at least talk before we make any decisions. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!
Ellen
