*Searching for postgrad housemates in Jericho, Walton Street*

We’re looking for new housemates and have a few spare rooms in our shared house.

‼️NOTE: Tenancy modalities: we have different possible set-ups:
• Full-lets: two rooms from 9th of August for a year long contract, extension possible.
• Sub-let possibility: a former housemate would like to stay with us for a while in the new tenancy and would like to sublet one of the two rooms for as long as might suit you so if you only want to move in later or for term start in October that might work out nicely.

Key facts on the house and tenancy:
• 🏠Location: Walton Street, Jericho (if you are new to Oxford: this is super central (5min by bike to everywhere uni-related, a lively, family-friendly area close to nature (port meadow))
• 🗂️Tenancy modalities: we have different possible set-ups (see above)
• 🌻People: 8 housemates (postgrads only, we’ve all been living together for minimum one year and most of us for three years) + 2 hedgehogs in the garden
• 🏡House: four floors, 8 fully furnished double bedrooms, three bathrooms and one separate guest toilet, big living room, big kitchen and dining area, garden, bike shed, several communal storage rooms for suitcases etc., house is warm in winter and in great condition (aka no mould, if you have lived in the UK you know (!))
• 🚿Appliances (all new): washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, multi-use stove (means: many people can cook and bake at the same time)

✨About us: we have been living together for the past years, two of which here in Walton Street – so we are experienced housemates.
• Nadi is a Kiwi DPhil in Environmental Politics – in Cambridge of all
places, but that is a longer story, she just started playing the guitar. She is an
absolute icon in cookie baking.
• Ryan is a Singaporean DPhil in Engineering focussing on wind turbines
and loves to go to the gym and spends some time in London to visit his gf.
He also appreciates a good K-drama
• Martje is a German DPhil in Climate Law. In her free time she does yoga
and paints. She has discovered the perfect recipe for cardamom buns.
• Chiara is a German third year DPhil in socio-legal studies working on anti climate lobbying and a Triathlet and iron man icon. She’s always biking, running or swimming or trying new recipes and up for a chat.
• Anna is half Swedish half British and does her DPhil in biology. She too loves running and discussing series which we often watch together on our projector in the lounge.
• Julius is a German philosophy DPhil in his last year. He’s interested in Chinese philosophy and cuisine and is rejoining us after a year abroad with lots of travel stories.

🌻About living together:
We have built a welcoming calm but lively home in the house and
are excited for new housemates to join us. We often spend evenings
and meals together, cooking or playing board games together. We watch movies together and like to host friends. We
all have a lot on our plate though and respect each others quiet and
working time.
Sadly, two of our housemates will be finishing their degree. This gives us the chance however to meet
new fantastic housemates: maybe you?
