We’re looking for a new housemate to join our big old converted pub in central Manchester, about 2 mins from Victoria station.
Most of us are in our 30s and we’re a very social, creative bunch. DJs, poi, bubbles, random projects, kitchen parties… and we go camping together, although our camping trips increasingly resemble small festivals 😂
People have been living in the house for around 10 years, so there’s a much bigger community around it of old housemates and friends that we’re very much part of.
The house is majority queer. We’d ideally like a woman or non-binary person to balance the gender dynamics a bit, but ultimately it’s about finding the right person.
It’s definitely a social house, we have monday movie nights, and there’s nearly always something going on, but everyone has their own space and does their own thing too. You’re also free to make the room yours: paint the walls, decorate, whatever you fancy. Go nuts!
The room is unfurnished. The person leaving may sell some of their furniture, and there’s always random furniture/stuff around the house you can claim.
Basically, if you’re looking for a quiet, conventional houseshare, this probably isn’t it 😅 But if you want somewhere that feels like a home, with a bit of chaos and a lovely community around it, come say hi!
