Hello! We are looking for somebody to take over the tenancy of two double rooms in our friendly, spacious house share, as we are finishing our PhDs.
Room 1 is available from March/mid-March, and Room 2 from April until end of June - with the option to extend tenancy after that. Both rooms are very spacious and well furnished, with a double bed, bedside table, wardrobe, chest of drawers, and desk. They are situated on the second floor in the attic. Room 2 is particularly large, hence the difference in price.
The housemates are looking for friendly new tenants (girls only, sorry!) who are clean, tidy, and respectful of each other’s space. They enjoy cooking, music, and going to the Peaks, and are keen to find somebody to socialise with now and again- over dinner or watching TV - and to make this their home :). Current tenants include Lauren, 28 who is studying for her landscape architecture masters, and Michelle, 28, who is a software engineer. The leaving tenants Gabi and Hana have both lived in the house for five years and couldn’t recommend the house, housemates, or the location enough. The estate agents and landlady have also been accommodating and prompt in addressing issues they’ve had.
The house itself is very spacious, with a newly renovated kitchen and communal bathroom, as well as a separate living room and dining room. It also has a cute little garden with grass, flowers, and a bench. The house is well situated in Broomhill, close to various supermarkets, charity shops, and pubs, and within easy reach of both the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam campuses.
The house is council tax band C, with one tenant being a student and the other an employee. Therefore, whether a council tax discount applies will depend on the incoming tenants (students or professionals).
