The ground floor has a large open-plan living space with a dedicated double set of everything in the kitchen – two ovens, two hobs, two sinks and two fridges – so there’s never a queue at busy times. There’s also a downstairs loo. No bedrooms on the ground floor means the communal space stays social rather than awkward.

The seven current housemates are a friendly mix of two guys and five girls studying medicine, speech and language therapy, and architecture – so a sociable but studious bunch.

The house is warm throughout and has brilliant shower pressure – both things you only appreciate once you’ve lived somewhere that doesn’t! It’s in a quiet area with local amenities just a 5-minute walk away.
