What & where
One of our housemates is moving out, so we're looking for another sociable and tidy house mate to replace them in March/April and rent out the 4th double room in our large modern house share, which is situated in between Brixton and Herne Hill! (5 min walk from Loughborough Junction station and bus links, 15 min walk from Brixton tube, 10 mins from Denmark Hill overground).
House setup 🏠
We have a very spacious and open plan ground floor, with a modern kitchen that has a dishwasher, living room with three sofas and dining table, heated floors, floor to ceiling windows and doors that fully open out to the decking/back patio with firepit and picnic bench. This outdoor space gets the sun for most of the day and is a huge bonus in the summer and for when guests come over, as the space feels huge!
The first floor has two double bedrooms, occupied by me (32F) and one housemate (34M). The second floor has two more double bedrooms, currently occupied by other housemate (34M) and the double room that is up for grabs!
As you can see from the pics, it's very bright and has space for a desk! It comes with a chest of drawers and wardrobe, bed frame with storage underneath and mattress. There is also a built in wardrobe and desk is included as well.🌞
This floor also has a modern bathroom with a shower over bath and is shared between three housemates (one has an en suite).
It's a beautiful house and we have a cleaner visit once a fortnight and try to be as clean and tidy as possible as well :)
Most utensils/kitchenware/furniture that are needed are already in the house, but you'd be welcome to bring anything you have as well!
We're also a 15 min walk from Brockwell park (where all the best festivals are💃) and a 5 min walk to Ruskin park, big enough for decent runs and nice views over the city!
The housemates! 🥰
- Are 3 other working professionals - currently 2 males and 1 female
- We're a sociable and friendly bunch, enjoy eating and drinking out, going to gigs, stand up comedy, being active. We hang out and make plans together quite often, usually at weekends when we can, but also respect each others space and time, especially during the week and will usually just catch up as we're making dinner. We also love to merge our friendship groups at any opportunity!
What we're looking for 🔎
A sociable, kind and easygoing person who is looking to make new friends as well as housemates, but has a busy life like us as well! Clean and tidy of course and respects the house and the housemates 🫶
Contract terms 📄
Our tenancy requires a 6 month minimum stay that requires 2 month's notice, but ideally we're looking for someone to stay with us for about a year minimum.
Please note that bills are not included in the rent - we split council tax, wifi, gas and electric between us and these amounts fluctuate, so you'd need to be prepared to pay 140 GBP max on top of the rental amount per month for these.
