About the house:
It is a very green area, with the surrounding areas having been renovated recently, it has become a genuinely nice spot to be. There is a selection of phenomenal cafes within a 5-minute walk of the house, a cosy wine bar about a 2-minute walk away, multiple gyms and restaurants all within proximity to the house. The house is situated at the end of a no through road, it therefore has no traffic. There is a bus stop basically at the end of the road (3-4mins) that has busses direct to waterloo, strand, and beyond (1,188,172 etc), Elephant and castle tube station is a 10 min walk through pretty restaurant streets and elephant park. There is a Morrisons, Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury, lots of Asian supermarkets and charity shops all within 15 mins of the house. Elephant and castle offers a respite from the usual stoney faced Londoners and is a place where people smile and say hello when passing on the street, in short, it’s an incredibly nice place to live.
The house has a lovely sitting room/ dining room where the house usually convenes to watch films, have dinner or play boardgames.
There is a kitchen with a gas hob, oven and communal items that house members have supplied such as coffee machine, air fryer, blender, toaster, microwave etc.
There are two bathrooms on the second floor, both containing full bath + shower, toilet, sink and mirror.
About the room:
The room on offer is a downstairs room with a very large window facing out onto the garden. You get lovely light all throughout the day. Currently, the double bed in the room is positioned to look straight out of the window. There is a built-in wardrobe behind the door as well as a chest of drawers and bedside table offering plenty of storage, the wall behind the bed has a cool cubby hole cut-out that can store other things. the room is very cosy and can be decorated to be artsy and make the most of the amazing natural lighting. It is next door to the sitting room and the kitchen.
About the house mates:
We all study humanity subjects, a mix of philosophy, religion, maths and English. We are all friendly, outgoing individuals all with differing interests and personalities, but we like to think we complement each other quite well. We are all relaxed, chatty people. We enjoy going out to pubs, bars and events to socialise but also enjoy bake-off, film nights and boardgames. We are aiming to host a few boardgame nights for friends in the next couple of months.
We are looking for someone who is interesting, fun and kind.
We are all good friends and want someone who will add to the vibe.
We are an inclusive bunch so please apply if this sounds like a fit!
