Renting out two rooms in a recently modernised terraced house on Melrosegate, close to the University of York and York city centre. The home features a larger living room and garden (incl. log cabin you can use). On-street parking is available. Additional storage space is available. Also more than happy to swap / change / get additional furniture if you need anything else.

Both rooms are available immediately; the slightly smaller one for £500pm and the larger one for £600pm, both incl. bills. The deposit is £500. Short-term lets are considered. You're also welcome to rent both rooms with a friend or partner.

I currently live in the house myself, but will be moving for work. Have lived here for 4 years and it's a lovely place. The house is fully furnished and comes with everything you'll need. I'll leave some of my stuff in another empty room that I haven't included in the pictures and that's not part of the listing as I won't be able to move everything straight away, but that shouldn't affect your stay in any way. So to clarify there are two rooms to let - might rent out only one or both depending on interest and suitability before I move - and there's another separate room that I'll use as storage to leave my stuff and might stay if I'm visiting York; currently not planned and would of course let you know beforehand. For you that means that you'd either have the house to yourself or share with another person.

The rooms would be suitable for either professionals or students. I've done my PhD at UoY and am aware of the challenging housing situation in York so always try to support students where I can.
