Hello!
My housemate of six years recently moved back home so I'm looking for someone to move in to this flat with me in Archway, N19. It’s located on a quiet residential street within a conservation area, surrounded by green and single family homes.
FLAT
The flat is a 1 bedroom, so no living room. Our bedrooms are on opposite ends of the flat. The bathroom was refurbished a few years ago and all the windows are double glazed. There’s also a basement and unruly garden….. The kitchen is quite spacious with high ceilings. There was a sofa in there at one point.
BEDROOM
The bedroom is a proper double - you can fit a double bed, sofa etc in there. It’s technically unfurnished but there is a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers. It’s a very sunny room. The carpet is in the process of being replaced this week,
ME
50s. Considerate, honest, friendly, chilled, happy straightforward, easy going, respectful. I come from a visual arts background and like tennis, current affairs, walking, travelling, eating, visual arts, culture, history, doing nothing, laughing, talking and tons of other stuff ….. I work full time for a newspaper doing a standard M-F job and wfh, in the common area, 1 day a week (Friday).
HOUSEMATE
Professional or Phd student. Looking for someone who genuinely likes cats, is friendly, honest, positive, engaged with life, considerate, self sufficient, optimistic, female.
You like a calm, peaceful and clean home, but not obsessive, no hot/stuffy environments (please), conscious of energy usage, able to pay bills on time, don't wfh more than 2 days a week…. and do most of your socialising outside the home .... We don’t need to besties, but I do want to engage with the person I’m living with! Someone who wants to live harmoniously, not selfishly …..
BILLS
TOTAL monthly bills are below (these are the current amounts and are split 50/50). As usual, most bills increase from April each year.
Rent - £1200
Electric/Gas - £91
Water - £80 (I just got a water meter so this will, hopefully, decrease)
Council Tax - £184
Internet - £24
There's also an annual charge for garden waste collection and the usual general household expenses such as cleaning products + toilet paper.
The room is available now - move in no later than 1 March. I'm open to short term or part time tenants as well.
Please get in touch if you think we might be a (genuine) fit or have any questions - and please have a full profile so I can get some sense of who you are!
Thank you!
