Sunny single bedroom available in semi detached house on a quiet road in Fishponds. Very close to UWE (15 min cycle) and close to lots of lovely nature, the river and fields.
We have a bright, comfortable and clean house with a living room, kitchen, dining room and bathroom (toilet, sink and shower.) We have a large, secluded 180 foot long garden with direct access to the stream and woodland at the bottom of the garden. There is room on the street for a car and bicycles can be put in the garage.
In the room there is a single bed with very comfy mattress, single wardrobe, a small chest of drawers and lots of shelving. (If you need more/different furniture we can sort out that no problem.)
You will be living with Katie, Daryl, our 11 year old daughter and our three very sweet and cuddly cats. We are an easy-going, friendly, creative, bohemian house. Daryl is an artist and gardener, Katie is a former journalist & PR and now a University lecturer (media). Katie works from home 2-5 days a week. Daryl and our daughter are at work/school full time during the week.
We’re looking for a friendly lodger of any age who is happy to live with a child and cats. Vegetarian females only (no males or couples). Ideally you would only be working from home for some of the week (e. g. 1-2 days.)
There is no smoking or vaping in the house or garden. And no overnight visitors.
The room is available from 1 September 2026, ideally for at least 4 months to the end of December. We can discuss a shorter or longer term if needed.
Also available as a Monday - Friday let (for less rent), just message to discuss costs.
Fishponds high street is very close by and has a Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl, also other independent shops and cafes such a whole food shop, FED, The Crafty Egg and lots of charity shops. We’re two minutes cycle from the Bristol cycle path straight into town and at the bottom of the road is the River Frome with a lovely walk to either Eastville park and the lake or to Snuff Mills and Oldbury Court. Buses run from the main road straight into town and take about 15/20 minutes. Driving takes about 15/20 minutes and cycling on the bike path takes 15/20 minutes. We’re also a 15 minute cycle from UWE Frenchay Campus and a 20 minute cycle to the MOD in Stoke Gifford.
