Hello! I'm looking for a housemate to rent the second bedroom in my peaceful 2-bedroom house near Staple Hill and Downend high streets. The house is on a small, friendly street with very little traffic and free on-street parking.

The room

The room is a light, cosy and good-sized double overlooking the back garden. It comes newly furnished with plenty of storage space and a good wifi connection.

The house

You'll have access to:

- Kitchen and pantry with lots of food storage space
- Dining room (also an ideal workout or yoga space)
- Upstairs bathroom and downstairs toilet / utility room
- Back garden and shed for bike storage

The dining room is the main shared indoor area, and the house also has a separate living room that I use as my personal space.

The area

There are plenty of shops, cafés, eateries, pubs and other facilities nearby, as the house is within easy walking distance of several local high streets:

- Staple Hill (10 mins)
- Downend (10 mins)
- Fishponds (20 mins)

Page Park is about 15 mins walk away and offers a café, outdoor yoga classes and a range of community events.

There are several bus stops less than 10 mins walk from the house and regular bus services.

- Bristol city centre and Bristol Bus Station (15 mins by car; 30 mins by bus)
- Bristol and Bath Railway Path, ideal for cycling and running (15 mins walk)

About me

I work as an online course designer for a creative arts university. Outside work I'm into music (especially electronic music), running, yoga and wellness, ale pubs, international food, language learning and travelling/backpacking.

I'm considerate, respectful, clean and tidy, and enjoy a balance between socialising and having my own space. I'm looking for someone with a similar approach to sharing a home.

Ideally, I'm looking for:

- A similarly “middle-aged”(!) female housemate
- A working professional or postgraduate student
- Someone who works outside the home at least some of the time (hybrid working is fine)
