I’m Jill and I have recently moved into my apartment in Walthamstow, 2 min from St James St station. Been a lot of flat packing and decorating but it’s coming together. Balcony is the next big job.
It’s a 2 bed apartment, both rooms are a really good size. The bathroom is very nice but only one unfortunately.
The room has a double bed, new mattress and a small wardrobe, locker and desk.
It’s the top floor flat fourth floor and there’s a lift. So no steps and accessible. Really lovely/friendly apartment block.
Rent is £950 p/month including bills (wifi, gas elec, water, cleaner etc. all included) Deposit is £500.
It’s a really lovely area and I’m still getting to know it. Love the Trades Hall, transport links are great- overground on your doorstep and then Victoria line is a 12 min walk (either Walthamstow or Blackhorse Rd), lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and Lidl is across the road, and Savers which I’ve gotten weirdly obsessed with.
I’m new to ownership(well shared ownership- it’s London and I work in Education!) but would love to have someone rent the room, who likes and respects and feels comfortable in the space.
So new flatmate wish list:
Better at keeping plants alive than me would be amazing
Can tolerate my political rants- enjoy a debate but needs to be lefty.
Can tolerate my love of low and high art- high brow films and absolute trash reality tv- I watch terrible crap.
Needs to be 30+ (and I prefer a dinner party to a house party these days!)
