A double room is available in our lovely queer home in Elephant & Castle/Walworth, SE17 from the 4th November. £929/month plus bills of approximately £100. 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♀️ We are preferably looking for a queer flinta person to join!

You will be living with three other housemates. We have lived together for almost four years but two of us are moving out, we have one spot left to fill.

The Room/ House:
The room is fully furnished, with a double bed, two wardrobes, and chest of drawers. The room sits on the bottom floor, at the front of the house.
The house has a shower room, bath room (with washer and dryer), living room, kitchen and garden.

About us:
We are three white cis women in our mid twenties to early thirties - Mia, Sophia and Lucy. We work in the NHS, teaching and art. Left wing politics are important to us.
We love having a peaceful home where we are all friends and like to hang out together. Sharing meals and time together (such as film nights, board games, crafts, pub trips) is important to us ☺️
Gardening skills are a welcome for our sunny garden!
We have a welcoming home where we can meet new friends and have people round - with communication with each other when needed. It’s also important we all take care of the shared spaces, keeping them clean and tidy.
Accessibility:
The two bathrooms are on the second floor of the house, up a flight of stairs (13 steps), a landing plus 3 more steps.
The house is a two storey terraced house. There is one step up into the front garden, then another step into the house. The ground floor has a change in level - one step down into the living room from the hallway, then another step down into the kitchen.
Entry is through the front door with a key (one step up).
There is a door bell and no intercom.

Elephant and Castle Tube Station (Northern/Bakerloo tube, lots of buses): 15/20 minute walk
Old Kent Road (Buses): 5-minute walk
High Streets: Walworth Road and Old Kent Road with libraries, bakeries, grocery shops and LIDL
Burgess Park: 10-minute walk

Ideally, looking for someone who is up for living communally. We currently share our grocery shopping, and cook for each other most nights. This would be lovely to carry on but is up for discussion. We eat / cook mostly vegetarian.

We have had 2 cats the last years which are now moving out 💔 we’re interested in adopting more cats which is something we can discuss with you!

Our housemates moving out are taking some furniture with them - we are super excited to re buy furniture but if you have any you would want to bring with you please let us know.

The room is available from November 4th 2025.
Benefits (Universal Credit) are accepted.
Deposit is 1 months rent (£929).

The rent will be £929 per month + bills. We estimate that bills are around £100 per month. The council tax band is D.
