1 Room Available in a 4-Person House Near Elephant & Castle – Zone 1
£825 PCM (excluding bills) / Approximately £925–£950 PCM including all bills
Hi! We're looking for one more person to join our house towards the end of November or beginning of December!
About the House
The house consists of four bedrooms, a large kitchen/living room, two bathrooms, plenty of storage and a well-sheltered, private back garden that's not accessible from the street. There's also secure bike storage.
The road itself is generally quiet, with predominantly rental properties (many managed by the same estate agent) and a good mix of people in their mid-to-late twenties, although there are also a number of families further down the street.
The Room
The room is located on the ground floor of the house. Although it's next to the kitchen, all the walls are solid brick rather than stud walls, meaning there isn’t a huge amount of noise from the other rooms.
It has two HUGE wardrobes (seriously, they're really large and deep!) which are floor-to-ceiling and sit either side of an old fireplace. There's also a decent-sized alcove which is ideal for fitting a large desk.
There's additional storage in the form of a single-row chest of drawers, which is currently inside one of the wardrobes.
The room also comes with the usual essentials, including a bed, mattress, bedside table and mirror.
About Us
As mentioned, it's a four-person house, and we're looking for someone to take over from one of our mates who's moving out. We're all in our mid-to-late twenties and, as long as its reasonable aren’t fussed about the age of the new person/
We work across a range of industries, from finance to music. We all enjoy having our own time and space, but equally like socialising together in the living room and heading out to the pub.
The Area
The house is really well located in central London, Zone 1. There are an outrageous number of bus routes, with stops just a minute's walk from the front door, which will pretty much get you anywhere.
It's approximately a 10-minute walk (or 5-minute bus journey) to Elephant & Castle.
Getting around London is really easy from here. Cycling/Lime Biking to Soho is around 15–20 minutes away, while Liverpool Street and the City of London are also roughly 15 minutes away.
There's also a HUGE Tesco and a decent-sized Lidl within a five-minute walk. An M&S is also due to open in Elephant & Castle early next year, alongside the wider development of new shops and restaurants.
Who We're Looking For
In all honesty, we're not hugely picky. Ideally, we're looking for someone who's friendly, clean and tidy, and generally respectful of the house and everyone living in it.
It would be great to have someone who enjoys joining in with the occasional pub trip or potentially a gym session, but equally appreciates that everyone has their own lives and routines.
If this sounds like somewhere you'd enjoy living, drop us a message and tell us a little about yourself!
