An elderly person who tried to be as independent as possible but tires easily is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would value the positive and friendly reassurance and company of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight, and sharing some meals or having a chat over a cup of tea. They would also appreciate some light practical help with tasks such as picking up shopping or prescriptions, cooking a few meals, helping to keep the home clean and tidy, light help in the garden and ad hoc errands.

The accommodation on offer is a spacious double bedroom with wardrobe and desk, and shared use of the bathroom, kitchen, sitting room and garden. The home is beautifully presented and very clean and tidy.

The property is in a lovely residential location close to the open spaces of Wandsworth Common. Wandsworth Common station (National Rail, trains to Clapham Junction and Waterloo) is just 8 minutes’ walk and Tooting Bec Underground (Northern Line) is approx. 15 minutes’ walk.

The person is hard of hearing but enjoys a conversation including about current affairs, watching tennis and some other sports on TV, going to the gym, watching films on Netflix or Sky, and walking in the park and watching the wildlife. They enjoy flavoursome food, anything from Thai, Chinese and Indian… as well as the occasional Nandos and MacDonalds!

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests.
