This is a wonderful character filled apartment, located on the second floor of an old pub, which was converted into residential apartments.

There are many lovely design features such as wooden ceiling beams, several alcoves, large bay windows and an enormous decorative fireplace in the kitchen.

This is a small apartment, with a hdouble bedroom with private en-suite shower room, available to rent immediately. All bills are included.

Please note that this is a split level apartment with a separate loft apartment upstairs, which is already rented out, the upstairs tenant has use of the shared kitchen, including the washing machine and tumble dryer.

There is a separate large furnished lounge adjacent to this en-suite double bedroom.

There is an interleading door off the lounge, which enables kitchen access from the upstairs apartment . This interleading door is lockable and the upstairs apartment has its own separate entry door. The upper property has its own kitchenette and lounge so the upper tenant lives separately on a different floor, but will require kitchen access to use the washing machine and tumble dryer.

The double bedroom is large, light, spacious and is furnished with a super king size brass bed frame, comfortable mattress, two aviation style bedside tables, plus matching chest of drawers, two bedside lamps, a wooden chest of drawers, a built in wardrobe, and a large wall mirror. There are two bedroom windows, with street facing views over to the Royal Mail depot opposite, as well as the churchyard and grounds to the left .

The en-suite bathroom has an excellent powerful shower with glass sliding door, a basin and toilet, generous shelved storage space, and a large half wall length mirror, with an eye level window overlooking the courtyard parking area below.

Adjoining the bedroom is a large separate lounge area, with a large sofa, three coffee tables, a television table, a large Balinese wall mirror. A television can be included if required.

A small hallway leads to the shared kitchen where you have use of the fully integrated appliances , a cooker, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, two table top sized fridges and separate freezer. There is a large kitchen table with chairs, as well as a sofa along one wall.

No allocated parking space is provided but there plenty of parking spaces along the adjoining residential streets as well as free overnight parking at the nearby Beacon carpark. ( free hours are on Monday to Saturday from 6pm until 8am plus Sundays are free all day long)

The apartment is located right in the centre of Wantage town, within easy walking distance to many excellent shops, restaurants, bars, pubs, a post office, coffee shops, Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, as well as a library, community theatre and sports centre.

Although Wantage does not have a train station, it is ideally located for excellent transport links with direct buses to Grove (Williams F1), Oxford, Abingdon, Milton Park, Harwell (Diamond light source) and Didcot. The nearest train station is at Didcot, with frequent direct trains into Oxford and London.

The property is located in a pretty and characterful residential area with access to nearby Betjeman park, with a flowing river , and green playing fields.

The ideal tenant will be a non-smoking friendly professional, who is clean, courteous, tidy , respectful, and considerate of the upstairs lodger and the neighbours.

The apartment is located on Church Street so you will hear the church bells ringing, bell practice is on Tuesday nights, and there is some nocturnal activity from the Royal Mail depot across the road.

I am a live out landlord, but will be at hand if you have any issues. I will please require access to read the electric meter once a month but this will by prior arrangement.
