What I'm offering :
A lovely secluded loft room with double bed, desk, TV and wardrobe. It's really quiet and there is no traffic noise at all. There is a microwave, kettle and private fridge in the utility room next door, so you can prepare basic meals. The bathroom is on the floor below. There is free high-speed wifi).
There is a washing machine and clothes dryer in the utility room too, which you're welcome to use.
As there are cooking facilities next to your room, use of the main kitchen is limited. But of course if you want make a quick stir fry or something that is fine.
To be clear - the room is for your use only - no partners or guests are allowed.
Who else lives in the house? There is myself - Paul - the owner, and occasionally my daughter who is a student. I work in IT. She lives in Oxford so she's not often around. There is also a siamese cat called Winnie. The room is part of a 3 bedroom semi-detached house. If you have a car, you can park out the front, but you will have to pay for visitor parking from Brent Council, which is £5 per day.
The price quoted - £180 - is if you are a student as that does not include council tax. If you are not a student then it is an extra £12 per week for council tax.
About the area :
Willesden Junction and Kensal Rise are vibrant multiculture areas, with a real community spirit. For places to go I strongly recommend Rubio Restaurant, which is 2 mins walk away. They do a fantastic breakfast, and in the evening pizza and pasta.
Willesden junction has excellent transport links :
You can walk to Willesden Junction station in 10 mins, and there take the Bakerloo line or Overground. Westfield White City is literally one stop away on the overground.
The 266 bus will take you to Dollis Hill station on the Jubilee line in 15 mins
In 5 mins you can be on the 18 bus, which takes you into Euston.
The 220 bus will get you to White City Station on the Central line in 20 mins.
You can be passing through the barrier of Liverpool St station in 45 mins from the front door.
