Bedroom in Kensal rise available for move in ASAP from 1st May. My friend was supposed to take the room but this unexpectedly fell through last night. The room is available until Sept/Oct (end of) - TBC with landlord (more below)
The flat: 2 bedroom (sharing with me!), 1 bathroom, separate kitchen/dining room,1st floor flat, … with a garden😏
The rent: £850 (yes, really!!)
The bills (each): £102 council tax, £15 water, £15 WiFi, £125 energy. We used to only pay £35 so I’m trying to get our current bill lowered significantly as it feels astronomical.
The area: spitting distance from an overground station, 10 minutes walk to bakerloo line, positioned directly above a 24 hour bus stop. Plenty of cafes, off licence, Tesco express all 30 seconds away. Big sains 10 minute walk with a direct bus back home.
The neighbours: residential area, quiet, respectful. A few families and schools nearby.
Me: mid-20s, I work in hospitality so will be gone 3-5 evenings a week. Other than work I am somewhat of a homebody if I’m not travelling. Love dinner parties, cooking for others, movie nights, laughing at TikTok’s and a glass of wine on occasion. I like socialising but also sometimes need an evening to myself as the horrors of customer service are real. I bake when I’m stressed, so if you enjoy baked goods this flat may be the one for you😉
You: will need to pass a financial reference - £23k min earnings OR a uk guarantor. Landlord reference and proof of current address. Ideally looking for someone relaxed and wanting to be mates rather than an awkward avoiding each other situation. I was in a borderline abusive situation with my old flatmate and would like to return to a happy, relaxed home life. Bonus points for anyone else in hospitality or a creative field (I have history in fashion!) but really not necessary!!
lease ending: TBC with landlord as they’re still deciding whether to do a name change on contract or start a new, 6 month one with option to extend. My old flatmate caused significant problems and the landlord is feeling understandably skittish. I personally have lived here for 3 years with absolutely 0 other issues.
message me on 1nst4gr4m as I might miss these-
