This is a split level room that is practically a self-contained flat in a rambling old house in a small village 4 miles north east of Evesham. Some parts of the building are currently undergoing renovation, and in other parts live the owner and two other lodgers apart from this room.
The space in this room is really quite small, but there is a lot packed into it and great use of space, finished off to a beautiful standard. It would not suit more than one person, even if you get on quite well.
From the entrance door, there is a fridge/freezer, kitchen sink, washing machine and cooker and a large stone work surface plus cupboards. To the side there is a staircase leading to two restricted-height platforms joined by a passage, too close to the ceiling for standing up so you need to crawl on your knees. One makes a great sleeping area and the other is a cushioned seating area, with storage drawers and shelving. I need to stress again, that these areas are too low to stand up in. they are only for people who have good knees and who love cosy caves.
Below the stairs are a small cupboard and very compact bathroom with toilet, basin and shower. To be honest, it will not suit large or tall people or those who suffer from claustrophobia, but is is a really cosy and homely nest for anyone wanting a very unique, private space.
There is roadside parking, access to other shared rooms in the house, a small and lovable dog, and some variation on a large garden.
Water, council tax, and Wi-fi are included, but electricity is separately metered and you pay for the amount you use. (typically this has been around £1 per day) There is a returnable deposit of £200.
