Lovely room in welcoming, friendly home on the outskirts of the town centre. The home is 2 rooms (ours and yours) and a box room, a bathroom with a walk in shower, a living room which is also a physiotherapy and massage clinic, a kitchen, mini-laundry room and small permaculture gardens in the front and back.

Myself (Katherine), and Brian - both holistic health professionals - live here, though we also work away a lot. Sometimes we rent out our spare room to give people a safe, welcoming friendly place to stay, and it helps us to pay towards all the bills and repairs, maintenance and improvement of the home.

It's a great location, that is 10-15 minutes walk from lovely woods, 10 minutes from a lovely park, and 10 minutes if that walk to town. We have trees overlooking our space yet also a supermarket around the corner.

10-15 minutes walking, 5 minutes drive from Erddig country park
5-10 minutes walk from Bellevue Park, 2 minutes driving. ,
5-10 minutes from town (a few minutes drive)
2-5 minutes to the nearest supermarkets (walking)
About 20-25 minutes walk (10 minutes drive) to the train station.

As it's us inviting you to share our home, there are some strong shared agreements - and then within this strong structure, there is so much flexibility and freedom to make yourself at home here.

--Vegan food and drink only home. We don't mind what others eat outside the home, but inside the home it is an allergy free and as cruelty-free as possible haven. This means zero meat, fish, eggs, milk, honey, ghee, etc - anything that has come from an animal in that way. Fruit, veg, legumes, grains, foods labelled vegan etc of course all welcome. This is important to consider if applying and worth referring to. It is reassuring to know not going to have an allergic reaction in own home.

-Cleaning after yourself, having shoes off in the home, and sitting down to use the toilet even men/if you would normally stand. It's the only way we would continue to share our home with someone else.

-To be ok if kitchen is not accessible in clinic hours (usually at various times between 12-6pm for some of the days of the week when we are here).

The home, kitchen, the bathroom is sometimes shared, or when we are away, you may often have it to yourself.

Wifi, council tax and water bills included.
Zero gas bills as we are electric only.
Electric bills are shared and are off-set by solar panels, so are lower than normal places.

As well as on spare rooms, we also Airbnb this room, and there are a lot of reviews on there (mostly from non vegans!)

While non-vegans are totally welcome and have enjoyed their stay here (great reviews on Airbnb,, longer term you might want to be already plant/based vegan.

We have an electric car charging point in the garage, and we do have a cheap overnight rate for this.

There's usually street parking in the close. When we are away there's a nice place to part on the residents parking area.

We use only plant based eco-products in the home, whether that's shower stuff, cleaning products, washing up and in washing clothes, and so are looking for someone else that does this too.

And we recycle everything we can! Even taking the soft plastic to the supermarkets.

We don't have a curfew or anything, though if things can be chill quiet after 10pm is great - for us - and our lovely lovely neighbours (they are seriously lovely).

We don't smoke or vape, and like a smoke/vape free home.

We don't drink alcohol usually, but don't mind if others find drink vegan alcohol in the home. Happy to have partners/friends stay if they respect the agreements too.

We do keep this place clean and tidy as much as possible - so suits more someone that likes and keeps things clean and tidy.

We are pet free- though there is some lovely wild animals in our permaculture little garden. (Some herbs and often fruits for you to harvest for free too)

For sure it is racist-free, xenophobic-free, transphobe-free, homophobia-free, ableist free home - please, please, only apply if this applies to you.

This means this place is open to all backgrounds, birthplaces, identities, abilities, LGBTQIA+, anyone that values and respects our united diversities.

We love both socialising and having time to ourselves - so suitable for introverts and extroverts alike.

Within all this strong structure, there is so much flexibility to make your place your own. Depending on the person, this place is either unsuitable for you, or a total dream of a spare room for you.

If it's a total dream to you, let us know :) Let's see what we can work out!
