Hi and welcome to our ad :)

My name is Georgeena, I am an Occupational Therapist who studied and now works in york (aka the perfect tour guide) and my partner Dan is currently studying his Physiotherapy degree here. We also come with a little ginger bear called Daphne- who's very clever and calm. Daphne is being trained to be a therapy dog. She is hypoallergenic (doesn't malt), she sleeps upstairs out of the way so is no bother :-)

We love to jump on a plane or go on a road trip. We love our food, enjoy the gym and both love to get outdoors when we can, from long walks up mountains to short strolls exploring for coffee and cake!

We have a lovely house right by the hospital in york (just a couple minutes walk) and around a ten minute walk to town.

The house is very recently refurbished with brand new furniture and fixtures to make it as lovely and cosy as it can be! A brand new kitchen and appliances (just touching up the paint before a photo) :-)

In the near future we will have one double bedrooms up for rent. From middle of October due to a job change. The room is clean, spacious, bright and newly furnished. Lots of storage! They have locks on the door for privacy/security when needed.

Ideally, we are looking for tenants on a mid to long term (3+ months) however we maybe able to accommodate short term arrangements... Please don't hesitate to get in contact to find out!

Dan and I share an ensuite in our bedroom so the recently refurbished “family” bathroom will be shared by the two tenants for the most part. There is plans in the near future to add a large double walk in shower (or similar). All the rooms have new large double glazing windows so lots of natural light :)

The lounge is a warm, cosy and sociable area. It has plenty of seating, a large Samsung 49 inch curved tv, virgin tv and the fastest fibre broadband available throughout the house.

The kitchen is also recently refurbished and we have endeavoured to give everyone as much storage in cupboards and the fridge/freezer as possible. We have plenty of kitchen utensils so unless you have your own favourite mug or something fantastic like that you shouldn’t need to bring anything else if you don’t want :). The kitchen opens up through a breakfast bar into a small conservatory/sunroom that produces lots of light and plenty of heat in the summer. We have recently added extra wall and underfloor insulation, new flooring and lovely wooden cladding to make it warm and cosy through winter too :)

The conservatory leads into a small garden (downside of a city house!) but we have made it as green and colourful as can be to make our own urban jungle! It's a real sun trap to enjoy a coffee :-) We are only a short walk from most of the fantastic parks York has to offer which we love to wonder around and or sit in the sun and enjoy an ice cream (see the trend with coffee and food? Haha)

The garden leads into a back gate that opens up into a private locked ally. And also we have a small garage at the back that has a washing machine, an extra fridge and freezer and plenty of room for bikes etc.

We also have a 3rd spare bedroom which we are choosing not to let out as we do not want to over crowd the house. This room has an extremely comfy sofa bed in there which is free for friends and family to use for short stays. The space has a desk and comfy chair and so doubles up as an office type room for doing work/ studying etc.

Other niceties in the house include free parking, hive central heating (so you can control the house heating through a box in the lounge or by an app on your phone), ring camera doorbell which alerts your phone if someone is at the door, (works great for parcel deliveries). And we have built into the attic and floored it for storage space.

Ideally we are looking for friendly people who can treat the house as a home and not just a hotel. We have a house whatsapp and like to keep in touch and help each other out if needed. We don’t really have any rules as-long as everyone is respectful, friendly and willing to help to keep the house tidy and clean. We do enjoy to go for dinner, a few drinks or cooking for each other every now and again and are always approachable; happy to listen if you feel your room/the house could benefit from any additions, as we want it to feel as much as your home after all :)
