A double room for single occupancy is available in a comfortable cottage in a quiet spot. The room has a bed, built-in storage and a window looking out over fields, and it will be freshly decorated before you move in.

You'd share the house with a small household: me (I work from home), my adult daughter and our cats. Cat lovers only, please! It's a relaxed, lived-in home.

We share:

A bathroom with a roll-top bath and a separate shower cubicle
A kitchen and dining space with a butler sink and oak worktops, flowing through to a sitting room with original flagstones and a woodburner
A second, quieter lounge for reading or music in the evenings (it's my office by day)
A garden, and plenty of off-road parking

If you're a maker, have lots of tools, or want space for home gym equipment, there may be room for that too by arrangement.

Smoking is fine in the garden.

You'll need your own transport, but there's good walking from the doorstep. Wells, Shepton, Bruton and Frome are all within easy reach.

This is a lodger arrangement in a shared family home. Bills are included in the rent.
