Hey all,

I am currently looking for a flatmate to take the second bedroom in my two-bedroom, two bathroom apartment based at the city quay in Dundee.

The flat is in an excellent position- at the end of the city quay- in a nice, quiet area. It's around a 10 minute walk into town, 15 minutes to the train station and 10 minutes from the beautiful V&A (they have a banging donut stand!). We have secure entry, allocated parking and a bike store (£10 fee from factor for a key). The outlook is over the City Quay itself and there will eventually be a direct view of the new Eden project!

I am an owner-occupier; I bought the flat last December and have spent the last year doing it up. This includes changing the lay out to facilitate an open plan lounge/kitchen, a new kitchen, new flooring and carpets throughout, painting and a new heating system (wifi controlled because it's boujee). The flat is far from finished, with a new bathroom hopefully the next thing on the cards!

The room is a good sized double bedroom with built in wardrobes and a view over the city/quay. I am flexible with the furniture that is in the room currently and could potentially source a desk If that was required.

The flat is well equipped; I've been gathering kit for many years. There's very little I don't have. The kitchen is well stocked with Le Creuset pans, Ninja knives, a Kenwood multi-stand mixer and a dishwasher!

The living room features a media wall (with 50" TV and fireplace) and also a baby grand piano (feel free to play/utilise it to learn).

About me; I'm 32, work in healthcare (yes, that means nightshifts sometimes!), into reading, cooking, music and am a big fan of a pub quiz! I am also part of an open water swimming group who meet every Sunday (if I'm not on the weekend shifts!). I am LGBTQ+ and as such require someone who is also LGBTQ+ or at least someone who is an ally who will be respectful.

I'm looking for someone who I click with and won't necessarily fill the room with just anyone. I want my home to also become yours and feel like our personalities need to align to facilitate that.

The rent is £700 per month, inclusive of bills.. This will include a bi-weekly cleaner (no one wants the responsibility or to feel as though they're cleaning up after their flatmate) and council tax. I might consider a discount for those looking for a Monday-Friday or part -time only let, or those studying full time whom are exempt from council tax.

I'm very open to those with dogs! Unfortunately no cats as I'm allergic.

If you think we would click then give me a message!
