The room has recently been redecorated, with fresh paint, new carpets, curtains and lampshades. It comes with a double bed and wardrobe, and there's plenty of space to make it your own. A desk is available if needed.

More than just a room

I'm looking for a considerate, independent person who enjoys living in a friendly, respectful and collaborative household.

This is a shared home, not simply a collection of rented rooms. I value people who take an interest in their living environment, communicate openly, respect shared spaces and contribute to keeping the house a comfortable place for everyone.

That means the everyday things: cleaning up after ourselves in the kitchen and bathroom, keeping communal areas tidy, sharing household responsibilities and occasionally lending a hand with things around the house or garden.

I particularly appreciate people who are curious about life, enjoy learning and growing, and have interests, ambitions or personal projects they're passionate about. Whether you're developing a creative idea, building something of your own, pursuing a career or exploring new interests, it's lovely to share a home with people who have a sense of direction and enthusiasm for what they're doing.

It would be great to have the occasional conversation, share a meal, or exchange ideas, while equally respecting everyone's independence and personal space.
I'm not looking for instant friendships or for people who need to socialise together. Just grounded, thoughtful people who understand that a good home is something we create together.

The household

I'm the landlord, and there are three of us living in the house full-time. My son and daughter also visit once or twice a year from South Africa, and I occasionally host Airbnb guests in the fourth bedroom, usually a single guest or a couple.

It's a friendly, relaxed household, and I'm looking for someone who will enjoy being part of it while having their own space and independence.
