A furnished double room is available in a clean and quiet 2-bedroom flat in Grays, RM17, comfortably within about 5 minutes’ walk of Grays station.
The flat is near the river and within about 5 minutes’ walk of Grays town centre, so shops, everyday amenities and transport links are all close by.
This is a good location for London commuters, with convenient c2c links from Grays station. Westminster / Big Ben is typically reachable in around 1 hour by public transport, depending on train times and connections.
This is a live-in landlord arrangement. You would be sharing the flat with me only, because I live in the other room. The setup is therefore quieter and lower-density than a larger multi-person house share.
The room is furnished and suitable for one person. Shared areas include the kitchen, bathroom, WC and corridor.
The kitchen is well equipped, with oven, hob, extractor, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso Classic and Vertuo coffee machines, milk frother, blender, steam cooker, Chemex coffee set and a good range of utensils.
High-quality white cotton bedding and towels can be provided if required, including Dorma 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton white bed linen, John Lewis 1200 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen white bed linen, and two sets of white 100% cotton bath and hand towels. The mattress is fitted with a John Lewis Soft Touch washable dual-layer 6cm deep mattress topper for additional comfort.
The living room is mainly my own day-to-day space, so it is not included as a formal shared area.
The room is offered on a one-month rolling lodger agreement, rather than a fixed long-term tenancy. This may suit someone who wants a stable place to live but also values some flexibility.
The rent is £795 per calendar month including bills, council tax, water, electricity and Hyperoptic 1Gb broadband. The deposit is £795.
