A room in a shared flat with one flatmate, Alex, who is a working professional in architecture and property development. He is a wonderful flatmate and if I was not moving in with my partner then I could have stayed on easily.
The Flat: It has lovely high ceilings and is neutrally painted so feels light and airy. We have a main intercom entry system to the block and an individual bolted door for our flat. Savills manage the block and we have always had prompt responses to any issues that arise.
Trains: 10-15 minute walk to either Kennington or Elephant & Castle (for Northern Line, Bakerloo, and Thameslink).
-> 3 mins to Waterloo
-> 5 mins to Battersea
-> 11 mins to Euston
Buses: The flat is also right by Walworth Road which has numerous bus routes that give easy access into Waterloo, Westminster and the City (as well as south to Peckham, Brixton, Dulwich and Clapham).
Groceries and Food: Walworth Road also comes with the added benefits of plenty of supermarkets (Morrisons, Lidl, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Iceland all within 5 minutes) and restaurant options. You can wander to Elephant Park for even more options.
Green Space: For green space you have Burgess Park only 10 minute walk. The Thames path is also easy to get to.
The flat sits in Liverpool Grove which is right by St Peter's Church which has a lovely bakery in the crypt.
I have lived here since September 2023 and before that it has stayed within the same circle of friends so we retain good relationships with the letting agents at Savills that manage the property. The flat can be offered furnished (although initially it was unfurnished). This includes the bed, desk, chair and the furnishings of the shared living room. We can be flexible on this too. The room also has a sizeable closet space that can even fit a bicycle if needed.
The shared spaces similarly have high ceilings and there is good storage space in the utilities closet. The kitchen comes with a dishwasher and plenty of cabinets and the bathroom is shower over bath.
In summary, the flat is in a convenient location and has all the amenities you may need. Your potential flatmate is lovely, quiet and often out and about so if you worked from home you would not be in each others space too much.
