SMALL SINGLE ROOM: Available from 28 May. The rate is £156 week for the first week, reducing to £122.50 per week from the fifth week onwards.
A WELCOMING HOME: Our Victorian house in Lewisham's Brockley/Telegraph Hill area (south of New Cross Gate) provides a clean, harmonious, and friendly atmosphere.
SOCIABLE LIVING: We have a communal kitchen/living room where you can enjoy meals and conversation with other residents.
CONVENIENT FACILITIES: The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas range cooker with two ovens, a combination microwave, a food processor, and more. There's also a washing machine, tumble dryer, and an additional toilet and shower in an outbuilding.
FAST INTERNET: Enjoy fast, reliable internet access throughout the house with our gigabit optical wireless broadband.
Who We Are Looking For
We typically welcome PhD students, MA students, researchers, interns, and professionals on projects who require proximity to universities, libraries, and research institutions in central London. We are a mixed group with varied eating habits (including vegetarians and vegans), and we appreciate guests who are respectful, fair-minded, and enjoy social interaction.
Our location offers excellent transport links:
*5-minute walk from Brockley Station (Overground & National Rail).
*12-minute walk from Nunhead Station (National Rail).
*16 to 20-minute walk from New Cross Gate Station (Overground & National Rail).
From these stations, you can easily reach:
*Goldsmiths, University of London: Also a pleasant 20-minute walk directly from us.
*London Bridge: Around 10 minutes by train/Overground.
*Blackfriars: Approximately 15 minutes by train.
*Victoria: Approximately 15 minutes by train.
*Shoreditch High Street: Around 15 minutes by Overground (for Shoreditch itself and easy connections to areas like Liverpool Street).
*St Pancras International: About 30 minutes, but not regular.
*Many central London universities, including LSE, SOAS, UCL, Birkbeck, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and the British Library, are all readily accessible with these connections.
*Locally, Greenwich and Blackheath are a 40-minute walk or can be reached by local bus/train.
