Ideal for two friends looking to rent together in a very cool part of London.

Light-filled 2-story apartment (with garden) in East London, a stones throw from Victoria Park, 15 min walk from Hackney Wick station, and 20 minute walk from Mile End. Ideally looking for creative easy-going people ⭐

⭐ ROOM 1: The largest in the flat - lots of lovely lighting and storage, plenty of room for lots of furnishings

⭐ ROOM 2: The smallest room, but lots of natural light; cosy and to make up for the lack of space, you will have the large wardrobe/shelving unit in the hallway, and can definitely allocate more space in the living room. It is a single room with a double bed in it.

⭐ LIVING ROOM: The picture is old and we have quite a large antique oak table good for working from home from. We have a large L shaped couch, perfect for having people staying over a night or two!

⭐ GARDEN: We have a small garden/patio area that is quite sheltered, and I just bought a greenhouse and some bird feeders - we get a lot of nice local wildlife in the area, so if you have green thumbs then that is a major plus!

We have two bathrooms; a small one downstairs and a larger bathroom with a bath upstairs.

I like a living situation that feels like a home, and would only be interested in people that would like to make this space their home too. I fluctuate between introverted and extroverted, and value my own space. I WFH most days as a librarian. I love all things libraries/archives. I am learning the harp and like spending my free time painting, drawing, writing, listening to music, learning, gardening, etc. I am a big fan of decorating + finding great deals on gumtree. Open to all people but it's important to be on the same wavelength. No zionists allowed.

As I am out of the country currently, I will be doing informal chats over zoom in the lead up to flat viewings, ideally between 10th of April - 17th of April, and then viewings will take place from the 19th onwards.

It looks quite minimalist atm but I am a big fan of kitsch/bohemian decor, so it'll be fun to decorate with whoever ends up here!

LOGISTICS: Bills are an extra c. 100 quid, informal house meetings once per month for check-ins, general structure for cleaning where we can have a chat before you move in about what tasks you like/dislike and can structure the rota that way (e. g. I hate hoovers so I will do anything but hoover). As it'll be 2 new people, we can work things out as it goes, but in the mean time, please send a nice spiel of yourself and what gets you going. I favour getting some insight into you as a person.
