Thanks for stopping by and reading my advert for a double bedroom becoming available at the end of August, in time for the start of the new academic year!

4-bedroom house in quiet Oxford suburb. All rooms in the property are single-occupancy, ensuring that you would be sharing this large property with only three other tenants. Simon, the landlord, does also sometimes reside at the property when not traveling (hence the property being listed as 5 bedroom). We take pride in building a friendly household and previous tenants have made lifelong friendships.

The room is available from 24th August, and is a double-room, with Velux window over the bed. It has a suite of furniture (including double divan bed with storage built-in, chest of drawers, bedside table, wardrobe, etc). This room shares the bathroom and shower-room facilities (both also having toilet and wash-hand basins too!) and is effectively only with 2 other tenants, as one of the other rooms has its own ensuite facilities.
The rent, inclusive of bills, is £750 pcm, and deposit (securely held within the Deposit Protection Service) is £750.

Rooms come with an individual tenancy agreement (so you don’t get landed with covering any additional rent or bills if someone else moves out!) I am listing the property on behalf of Simon (landlord) and help out with tenant queries, property maintenance etc as a good friend of his; I am not an Agency company and I work full-time elsewhere on projects that deliver positive impact to tackle the climate emergency; therefore there aren’t costs involved with taking references, drawing up tenancy agreements, etc, that we are aware of being charged elsewhere. You’ll simply get a friendly service without the added expense!

Located in a quiet courtyard (no through traffic). There is a bus-stop at the top of the road a few metres from the house with frequent services direct to Oxford City Centre. Easy commute by bike (20 minutes to train station, 30 to city centre) or walking (an hour to centre). There are local shops, including Tesco Express, Iceland, and takeaways, etc.

The house comes with a shared living room with wall-mounted flat screen tv, dining room which easily seats 8 (great space for working when needed also!), kitchen and utility room (washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezers, oven, grill, four-ring halogen hob, microwave, toaster, kettle etc).

There is a family bathroom with shower over the bath, toilet and sink upstairs and a shower room with toilet and sink downstairs. As mentioned, one bedroom has its own ensuite, so these facilities are therefore only shared between three people effectively.

Bills included such as super-fast fibre internet (perfect for those working-from-home or studying), energy bills such as gas and electricity (a significant cost nowadays as you’ll appreciate, but still covered for you within the rent), council tax and water. A TV license is also provided for the property.

Current housemates are three females, all working professionals.
