We have a lovely little room free in our little 16th century timber-framed townhouse just off Fore Street that I’m pretty sure you’ll like. It’s all tall and crooked, and there are beams all over the place, trust me it’s great!
It’s a fairly small but well-furnished room with a nice big window (and good curtains for any interested vampires). A small double ottoman bed with a nice big wardrobe and chest of drawers give lots of storage. Along with the room comes priority use of the study next door, with a good desk and shelving storage.
Location-wise, it’s right in the centre of town. It’s about 30 mins walk from the university, and about the same to the RD&E hospital (where I (the author (me)) work). We’re a 10-minute walk from Exeter Central station and 15 minutes from the coach station. If you have a car, parking is a bit of an issue, but not impossible. There are free places to park, it can just be a bit of a walk.
Includes all bills, and access to the kitchen (we have a dishwasher, wooo!), the bathroom, the basement living room (with huge telly), utility room (with washing machine/drier) and second-floor study. Responsible use of our stuff is completely fine. We’d expect whoever moves in to tidy up after themselves and contribute to cleaning communal areas. We keep the house fairly toasty to stave off damp.
Oh yeah, the broadband is brilliant and unlimited and included, and no corner of the house has poor Wi-Fi signal.
We will consider anyone for the rooms! Tell us a bit about yourselves, and we look forward to welcoming you into our home =).
Who are we? We’re myself, Kashi, a healthcare assistant at the hospital and MSc student. My partner Lizzie, also working in healthcare on the admin and management side. And current attic-dwelling lodger Adam. We are friendly, love nut butter, many cups of tea and deep chats and would definitely be up for some shared meals, film nights, board games and trips to the highly recommended “Little Drop of Poison” pub next door.
The house is in council tax band D; council tax is included with bills. We can make arrangements for those exempt from council tax!
