Looking for a new lodger for my good-sized double bedroom in a four bed house with garden.
Bedroom has a double bed, large built-in wardrobe, small dressing table/desk and bookcase/bedside table with lockable drawer. Putting things on the wall is permitted (makes it more homey!) as long as I can do it properly (no blue-tack).
You will be sharing the house with myself as a live in landlord and my male lodger, who has lived there for a year. Please note that although I have my own bathroom, you will be sharing with him and occasionally myself if I want to use the bath, or any guests who stay over. I'm also a student midwife so work shifts when on placement including some nights.
I have a cat and a dog who are my babies and need occasional looking after as part of living here if you're around, so being an animal lover is a must! Especially when I'm on shift. I have taken this into account when choosing the rent amount.
You would have use the of living room and kitchen, with utilities such as a washing machine and tumble dryer and dishwasher. Also an air fryer!
As part of rent, all bills are included including Council Tax Band E charges. I also provide laundry detergents, dishwasher tablets, hand soap for the bathroom, kitchen utensils (you're welcome to bring a favourite mug though!) and can help with bedding as I have some spare. I already provide mattress, memory foam topper, protector, pillows and duvet.
I am ideally looking for another mature student but my current lodger is a professional so that's not an issue for the right person. I'd like someone clean and tidy who respects personal space but also could be up for cooking together occasionally or film nights/pub trips; dog walks too of course! I do love having friends over and my boyfriend does stay occasionally, where we would then need to use the living room or garden. Kitchen is always communal of course!
There's parking on street or on drive but my car will have priority on drive. I am in the process of putting another space in though so after that it shouldn't be an issue! Good bus routes to town from the Lyde Green park and ride, and cycling is also lovely (can store bike in garage or down side path).
